My Philosophy

I) Applied Practical Horsemanship is founded on:
A) How the horse communicates( natural horsemanship methods)
B) Understanding the bio mechanics of horse and rider
C) Teaching the proper timing and application of the riders aids (resistance free training).
II) Whole Horse Perspective:
A) Is the horse suitable for the riders intended use (Horse selection 101)
B) Proper diet and exercise
C) Care and maintenance
D) Proper and well fitted equipment
Unequivocally the horse comes first in the matters of safety, health and maturity. I believe every horse deserves the chance to be a productive, respected citizen. No matter what horse I work with, whether it is your back yard trail horse, a rescued re-hab or your prize show mount, I bring to each and every session a positive attitude and proven systematic training methods. I have a keen eye and proven tools to evaluate you and your horse's capabilities. Each horse and rider demonstrates their own unique learning style. I offer a high level of patience, understanding, and personalized instruction, which is required to achieve success. Achievement is measured by how far you and your horse have progressed. Perceived set backs and failures are only stepping-stones to personal growth in and out of the pen. My goal is to train the horse and rider to their full potential.
